No, really, you're wasting your time by PieWriter No, really, you're wasting your time by PieWriter
I honestly couldn't give a rat's behind about what religion or lack thereof you follow. I really don't care about the events that lead you to believe what you do and why you think the way you do about other beliefs. Because the moment you waste your time being disrespectful to and patronizing another religion/belief system, my respect for you and your beliefs drop to zero.

And it's not just me who loses respect for you: it's the rest of the world. Not only are you making the sane, respectable followers of your ideology look bad, but you are not endearing others to accept your beliefs. We only see a bored idiot who has nothing better to do but waste time and make fun of others.

And you know what I'm talking about: making patronizing stamps that are blatantly untrue about the religion/belief system, writing offensive comments that solve NOTHING, and acting as if you're the most smartest guy on the planet simply because you can wag your tongue and point your fingers like a five year old. And this goes to those online and offline! On top of that, most of these people act like the world is ending if you so much as DARE to not follow the same beliefs they do.

This type of behavior disgusts me. If you have time to act like an idiotic buffoon, you have time to help solve the problems in the world that are created by cowards like you.

Grow up.

Angry stamp rant is angry, aadfjkhflgj

*EDIT* Hey guys, thanks for the support so far. It's nice to see other people agree. :)

However, I noticed that most of, if not all, of the faves and comments so far are from people who are Christians. Now, this isn't bad, as it means I have fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who feel the same way I do. However, I just want to be sure that any non-Christians out there, religious or not, do not feel uncomfortable faving or commenting on this. This stamp was made for people of ALL beliefs. If you want to add this in a non-Christian group as well, then feel free to recommend it. I won't mind at all. :)

Bashing people in general is foolish.
I support this stamp.

I don't necessarily "make fun" of other religions. I'm actually just confused about Muslims, because of what the terrorists of that religion is doing.  I'm not saying that religion's bad, but it's the group of a-holes making that religion look bad.

I agree with you. Every time I look up something like a religious picture or video, I always end up finding someone insulting my religion. If you don't like it then why waste your time. Anyway, thank you so much for this stamp. God bless.

This is coming from an atheist and I agree 100 percent! I don't like it when people get bashed whether it's because they are religious, or nonreligious. It gets really annoying very quickly and it's immature.

Peace be to you,
I am a Muslim, and I agree with you 100% on this one.
I believe that not getting feedback from people of other faiths is only because they did not see your stamp here.

there is one proverb in Arabic, it is translated as "don't throw rocks on people's houses when yours is made of glass". those who like to point fingers and vilify other people's beliefs thinking that will make them better are wrong on so many levels. of course, religious communication and interfaith dialog is always encouraged and welcomed. because it allows us to learn and understand each other better. but only when it starts with respect and ends with respect.

peace

This isn't just a Christian stamp or even exclusive to religion/religious beliefs, mate. This is directly relevant to all beliefs, whether that's sexuality, one person's idea of beauty or liking/disliking Twilight.

Thank you! I have seen so much hatred, it's unbelievable. I once saw a stamp here on dA that said "Christianity is a fucking disease" and couldn't help but facepalm. I saw another one that said something like "Christian Scientist - the term is contradictory" and the person who made it went on to say that Christian scientists were all hypocrites, regardless of what good they did for society, simply because they practiced science while simultaneously having faith. Man, some people...

As a sidenote, I've noticed that many people are confusing brutal honesty with outright rudeness and excusing their disrespectfulness with "I'm just stating my opinion!" Ugh, it's ridiculous!

I see this alot in atheists. A colledge professor claimed that having a religion makes you stupider than people who dont have religion.
And i saw another atheist claim that you being an atheist makes you smarter.
And several athests have tried to turn me from my religion, thinking im insane.

But i have a few atheist friends, so i dont really hate or have no respect for atheism.

I like it when an atheist say that 'atheism make you smarter', while most of them doesn't know what is a mind.
Irony IMO.

Sorry for reviving an old post ^^;

I know, right? Especially when they say on their front page that they are looking for intelligent conversation (shorthand-hero comes to mind), yet as soon as you try to engage them, they launch into tirades of hatred and bile against you.

Exactly! dA needs more stamps like this.

I just don't see the reason in bashing someone over their head because of their beliefs, or lack thereof. If you disagree, fine. If you want to express that in a respectful and mature manner, that is perfectly fine as well. But mocking someone or their beliefs is in no way okay, warranted, or mature. People need to see that insulting others and their beliefs changes absolutely nothing for the better, and it makes their own side look bad.

Finally! Someone said it to the faces of both sides of the fence! I mean, at the end of the day, it's sheer silliness to think about someone else's religious or lack of religious beliefs. Not to mention an invasion of privacy. With that said, while I think it's ok to educate people about religion and be comfortable with your faith, waving it around like it's a trophy to show off is disrespectful to religion as well. Like I said, your beliefs are personal. They don't make you better or worse than anyone else.

I believe people have a right to voice their beliefs, so long as they do so respectfully and without making them into show-off trophies (as you had said). I just think it's ridiculous how people have this desire to immaturely make fun of other beliefs; I mean, shouldn't they be more worried about studying their own?

I feel like saying that to a lot of the rude theists and atheists who call the other side an idiot or make religious deities look bad. I mean, you have no idea how much I agree with you on this subject. Sometimes I get the impress that these two sides of extremists do it more out of competition and insecurity. If you're comfortable with your beliefs, why should you let a stranger upset you? At the end of the prejudice makes the one who's prejudice look bad.

Exactly! Especially about extremists doing it out of competition and insecurity. For me, I know that all truth leads to God, so why should I feel scared about people explaining their own beliefs to me?

I just wish everyone was more mature about it.

You and me both. Heck, I've met an atheist in real life and really the only difference between us was our faiths. That experience alone taught me how unimportant it is to go around thinking about who people pray to or whether they pray at all. Judge people by the actions that affect you.
